In a new video interview, Dr. Sigrun Matthes of the German Aerospace Center (DLR)— and Coordinator of the F4EClim project — joins Prof. Manuel Soler from the Aircraft Operations Lab at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) to discuss how the project is paving the way for climate-optimized flight operations.

As part of the SESAR Joint Undertaking portfolio, F4EClim is building on scientific advancements to feed operational tools that support greener decision-making in aviation. In the interview, the experts tackle several core questions:

  • What is the aim of F4EClim?

  • How is the project building on the outcomes of its predecessor, FlyATM4E?

  • What will the F4EClim climate service look like, and how will it support airspace users in practice?

Watch the full interview below to learn more about the future of climate-smart aviation.
